Apple Picking 2008

Students at All American Nursery School had a great time picking and learning about apples on Thursday, Sept. 25 at Cold Spring Orchard in Belchertown. This orchard is a research facility of UMass Amherst with a focus to find better ways to grow fruit in Massachusetts, including the testing of new varieties, the evaluation of more efficient horticultural techniques, and the development of more environmentally friendly management approaches. With all that said, the trip proved to be both educational and fun!
